Two hours later,

My goodness. I signed into this blog only planning to add a picture or two....One thing led to another...and now I have been sitting here for hours on end scrolling through backgrounds and getting carried away with so many other random things.

I am officially 8 months into my pregnancy--which means, I am almost there! I'm behind on decorating the baby's bedroom. I can't find a comforter that I am absolutely in love with. If I were back in the states, I probably wouldn't have such a hard time finding one, and online shopping isn't doing the trick. This baby better be a girl...we have tons of baby girl clothes and pink EVERYTHING! People think I am having a boy because of the way I am carrying (low). If the baby turns out to be a boy, he'll be looking real cute in the girly outfits..

I am horrible at remembering to take pictures. Everyone is anxious to see my 8 month belly! I promise when Sam comes home, I'll have him take some pictures. Until then, here are a few from when I was 5 and 6 months pregnant:

Happy One Year!

March 22, 2009

Today was our one year mark for being married! The weather could have been a bit more kind, but the day was still perfect. I cleaned and did laundry during the day while Sam went and got his weekly haircut. We headed out to dinner around 6 o'clock. The traffic here is horrible around that time, so it took us a solid thirty minutes to get there. The Kadena Marina is a restaraunt right on the water (E. China Sea)....they are a bit pricey, but the food is wonderful. You get soup, salad, and then your meal. Usually by the time you leave there, you are pretty stuffed. I know I was...especially with this growing baby..she doesn't allow much room for my stomach to be pleasantly full of food anymore. I get full quicker and hungrier more often because of my shrinking stomach =( Not too good of a combination for a pregnant person.

Soccer is still going well for Sam. They had a bbq this past Sunday at Araja Beach, but we didn't go because of the our anniversary. Work also seems to be going well for him. His favorite Master Seargant left a couple days ago to go to school for three weeks in Quantico. He is going out on the next deployment with the Commanding Officer of Sam's company. They spoke to me about deployment when I went to a lunch for the wives interested in helping the company with random things (baking cookies on holidays, and etc...). In Okinawa, there are so few slots for deployment that the only way you're basically getting deployed is if you volunteer to go. He said it'd be nice if they can get deployed as a battalion, but it'd never be possible for some reason. I think it may because then there might be a shortage of men able to work the different sections for the supply company on the island. His Master Seargant also said Sam isn't on the list to go because he knows of the baby coming...maybe in a year- which would be perfectly fine if that is what he wanted to do. I know he is anxious to get some action and see what the Marine Corps is all about. Plus, he always knows he has baby and wife to come home to that fully support him =). If he did leave, we would be okay...I'd have my little one to look after and hopefully by then finishing up a class or two to finally just have my associates since it's literally at the tips of my fingers!!!

Life is going rather smooth! Just anxious for the baby!!

Slowly..but surely,

March 16, 2009

Melissa has been telling Sam and I to get a blog for a while now...so, here we are! I'm still not quite sure how everything works, but I'll figure it out =)

Not too much is going on. Sam is still playing soccer two to three times a week. I finally figured out how to put together the sewing machine I got for Christmas!! I've made several receiving blankets and fixed a couple pair of Sam's pants for work. I need more fabric! There is this really cool looking fabric store off of the highway I have been wanting to take a stroll in...maybe this weekend sometime. Speaking of this weekend,....Sunday is the big one year anniversary! It doesn't seem like a whole year since we got married. Time sure does fly by.

It also doesn't seem like I've been pregnant about 30 weeks (7 months and 2 weeks). I guess they say 37 weeks is full term...so that means we are really close!!! I didn't enjoy being pregnant at first. Morning sickness and expanding hips aren't exactly my idea of fun. However, I must say I am rather content nowadays. I guess I can say I am in the glowing stages of being pregnant. I'm always in a really good mood and extremely happy =)

Sam has had a really busy week at work. He labels and stores gear in the warehouse. He has a lot of responsibility at the shop. He is one of the few his Master Seargant trusts to get work done. He's always been a good leader and a hard worker =)

Overall, we are doing wonderfully and can't complain about how things are going. Just taking one day at a time....
